Sunbeds...
Because we all like a nine minute holiday.
Sunbeds...
For that glorious and stylish tan.
Option 1 - Tanning Bed
There are two types of main tanning bed, one is a lie down sunbed, perfect for relaxation and the other is a stand up for those of you not wanting to unwind too much in your nine minutes of pleasue.
A lie down sunbed is usually paid for in three minute intervals, so you go on for either three, six or nine minute sessions. Some go on for 12 minutes but this can dry out your skin a little bit. With this sunbed you simply lie for your preferred time whilst the UV rays aim to give you a golden glow, occasionally you should move so that you don't develop any white bits.
Some people find that a sun bed acts in a slightly different way to the natural sunlight, as the tan develops more a few hours later, even if you are a little bit red when you first get off the bed. Lie down sunbeds are perfect if you want to spend a small amount of time relaxing with your eyes closed, you can imagine that you are on a tropical beach for those nine minutes, even if it is pouring down with rain outside - typical in the UK.
After you've wiped your sunbed down and ventured outside, you should have a little more colour in your cheeks than everyone else, so embrace it.
A stand up sunbed works slightly differently, namely because you are standing up rather than lying down. Stand up sunbeds are ideal for people who want to tan in this way, but find lie down sunbeds a little too claustraphobic. Stand up sunbeds can sometimes be a tad more powerful than lie down one and the timing of them is slightly different for that reason.
Stand up sunbeds usually operate in two and a half minute intervals so you can go for two and a half, five, seven and a half or ten minutes. You simply stand inside the sunbed and let the UV rays catch you, some play music inside them if you fancy a dance whilst you tan. Like a lie down sunbed you need to be aware of your body and move occasionally to avoid the appearance of white patches.
You should start to develop a little bit after your sunbed and any redness should turn into a nice brown glow. Lying back and fantasizing about the beach isn't really an option in a stand up sunbed, but with some music pumping you could always imagine that you are at a beach party.
Some stand up sunbeds also offer a tan and tone system at various prices. With this you stand on a vibrating plate whilst on the sunbed, using this regularly helps to tone the body as well as giving you a nice tan.
Tanning salons also offer gels and lotions that you can apply whilst going on a sunbed to enhance your tan.
